The Persekutuan Taekwon-Do Malaysia - CHITF (or PTM for short) was established and registered under the National Sport Council (Majlis Sukan Negara) as a Federation in 2014, whose main focus is on diversity and youth.

The history of Taekwon-Do is intertwined with Malaysia, since Gen. Choi Hong Hi invented 16 out of 24 patterns during his tenure as the first ever South Korean Ambassador in Malaysia, hence Malaysia's reputation as the 'second homeland of Taekwon-Do'.

To make good on said reputation in the post-pandemic era however represents a challenge, as traditional teaching methods alone may no longer be sufficient. Therefore, our key strategy for sustainable development is to have young blood in our Federation, to widen the Federation's path with innovation and diversity.
